    Event Description:
    National Wolf Awareness Week is October 15 - October 21 this year.  Living
    Desert Zoo and Gardens State Park is hosting special events on Saturday, October 15th, including:
    • At 1 p.m. the film “Lords of Nature” will be shown, which is about the importance of large predators in natural ecosystems.
    • At 3 p.m. Interpretive Ranger Kathryn Law will present a PowerPoint presentation about the natural history of the Mexican Gray Wolf.
    • Docents at the Wolf Exhibit will demonstrate wolf skull and track replicas from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m.
    All programs located in the Visitor Center are offered free to the public, but regular fees apply for those wishing to tour the zoo: 6 and under free, 7-12 $3, 13 and up $5.  For more information, call the zoo at (575) 887-5516.
