Planned Hike at Guadalupe MountainsName: Planned Hike at Guadalupe MountainsDate: July 13, 2019Event Description:
A hike is planned for this Saturday, July 13, to Guadalupe Mountains National Park. This hike is rated as easy to moderate and will involve a variety of destinations.
The weather forecast for our hike is partly cloudy with a temperature high around 81⁰F and a 0% probability of precipitation. You will need to bring at least 2 liters of water, snacks and treats for energy along the trail, a lunch, and ~$10 to cover any unforeseen expenses.
Our meeting time on Saturday morning is 8:00 a.m. Our meeting location on Saturday morning is the Department of Energy Building’s parking lot located on National Parks Highway adjacent to Happy’s Restaurant and across the street from LaQuinta Inn & Suites. Carpools will be arranged at the time of our Saturday morning meeting. I rate this hike as easy to moderate due to little elevation gain. This hike is essentially historical in nature.
Since our destination will involve a one hour drive one way, please be sure to fill your gas tank before starting on this trip. We will depart sharply at 8:15 a.m. Saturday morning. Bring a friend. Sorry, no pets.
